Jurenergy
With a view to climate protection and limitedness of fossil fuels we have to cover our energy requirements to a higher extent with renewable energies in the future. Meantime this necessity is being accepted politically and socially, although there is a a controversal discussion about the "how" and the "how fast".
For several years many actors make an effort to increase the amount of renewable energies with success in the district Neumarkt i.d.OPf.. By now the share of eco-power in our district is explicitly over 30 %. But especially for large-scale plants there is a lack of acceptance in the local population.
Not only climate protection activists invest in renewable ernergies, but also many people and companies, who are interested in a sustainable investment. At the same time there is an increase of the added value in the region by local energy production. Cause the profit from the energy production benefits citizens and do not drain off to major companies.
Therefore we want to initiate a specific project for the district Neumarkt i.d. OPf., the citizen companionship for renewable energies, which allows our citizens to participate in plants for the production of renewable energies (short "EE"). By now there are already a couple of EE-plants in the district and additional plants will follow unavoidable. Yet the investors are no local businessmen, so that our citizens do not benefit from these plants at the moment. This changed with the foundation of the companionship.
A companionship is the perfect form of organization for a broad partizipation of the citizens and is able to invest in specific projects with the collected fund within the scope of renewable energies. Some EE plants - e.g. for their impact to the landscape - are discussed controversally and thats the reason why the the citizen companionship should choose their projects wisely and play a responsible role in supervision.
